Mission

To build Jewish leaders through meaningful service opportunities in communities in need across America.

Vision

By providing an environment which links social justice with Jewish values, we will challenge the way our participants view the world. By empowering participants to assume leadership roles, we will lay the foundation for these adolescents to effect change.

History

AJSS began its journey in Indianapolis, IN, constructing homes alongside war veterans during the summer of 1951. Explore the map below for a glimpse at our rich history of helping communities and changing lives.

Abbevile 1971 Worked in Rabbit Hill, a low-income neighborhood; assisted with home and community renovation project
